What is GLM“The Global Leadership & Team Decision Making Minor is a collaboration between the Shelton Leadership Center and NC State European Center in Prague. The Global Leadership and Team Decision-Making minor is a 15-hour minor that is designed for students who seek to gain greater knowledge and understanding of leadership and team decision-making from a European global perspective. The coursework is composed of courses grounded in theory, inquiry, and application. The student will participate in a cohort of up to 15 for a semester abroad in the Czech Republic, Austria, and Germany.”

SLC 250: Creative Critical Decision Models
SLC 250 is the fifth class that is a part of this minor, however, unlike the rest of the classes which are taken in Europe this class is taken in Raleigh. Most of the participants in this minor took SLC 250 before studying abroad as we learned about a variety of decision-making models and critical thinking skills that were helpful in the other classes. One big activity that we did in SLC 250 that helped me while I have been abroad is the Team Charter we made at the beginning of the course and the reflection we did on it at the end. This assignment helped me learn how to create team expectations and learn how to assess these expectations and if they were held up or broken. Because of this experience, I was able to easily participate in making the team charter that was created at the beginning of our 8-week study abroad program and I continually thought about how we were following it throughout the course. This reflection helped me to be a more active team member and see our team's progress and growth over our time abroad.
